Week 3

I finished my story board and character design this week.
My character is a cute alien with pink color. I call him 'chubbie' according to his round shape. Chubbie is enchanted by a lovely rainbow. He tries hard to catch it but fail each time. At last he comes up with a brilliant idea and finally make it!

I'm still working on modeling - about 60% done! Smile Also I'm looking for an inspiration for making graphic that will be applied as texture. I found some pictures of 'Crop Circle', they are interesting as some people believe that aliens did it! The main shape of theses incredible signs is 'circle' so my graphic will base on primitive shape like triangle, rectangle and of course circle!. I'll keep it simple, clean and cute.

And that's my week 5! Very Happy

I had finish about 90% of the graphics that will be applied as texture on models. I used both illustrator and photoshop to complete this part.

After I've done texturing last week (week 6), I continue working on rigging. There's one main character so it takes short time. I spent most of the time in class with help from Ariel and of cousre Peter! Smile Thank you!

I'm working on lighting this week. Peter figured out the problem that I turn on NURM TOGGLE so my file was too heavy and couldn't render. Instead of that function I used turbosmooth and set up the ilterations. It made things easier!!! I also started render some scences as well. Some took 1 h, some took half day! These are some exampls:

I haven't yet finished rendering. It takes longer time than I expected! Some scenes that I zoomed in to show objects, it took 1-2 days to render. Fortunately I have only 2-3 scenes left. I'm sure I can make it on time! Very Happy
